KADUNA CARES (KD-CARES)

The NG-CARES Program, funded by the World Bank, aims to alleviate the local impact of the global COVID-19 pandemic at the state level. It focuses on safeguarding the livelihoods of vulnerable households and boosting local economic activity, particularly among MSMEs. KADEDA is responsible for implementing Result Area 3 (RA 3) within the program, which aims to provide relief, facilitate recovery, and enhance the capabilities of micro and small-scale enterprises in Kaduna State.

A Kori Talauci 2.0

A Kori Talauci 2.0 is a poverty alleviation programme in Kaduna State designed to provide a multi-faceted support system for individuals in Kaduna seeking to improve their economic circumstances. Through capacity building, business grants, mentorship, networking, and ongoing evaluation, the program seeks to empower individuals to not only establish sustainable businesses but also improve their overall quality of life, particularly women and youth.

Upcoming Programmes
These initiatives represent our forward-looking vision for the growth and sustainability of businesses in the Kaduna state.

MSME Cluster Development Programme (Common Facility Centre Finance Scheme)

The MSE Cluster Development programme is dedicated to bolstering NMSMEs (New and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) through the creation of strategic business clusters tailored to the trades prevalent in each senatorial district. Within these clusters, we offer Common Facility Centres (CFCs) as physical facilities that serve as a lifeline for businesses, mitigating the challenges of isolation.

Skills Certifications/ Industry Linkages

KADEDA recognizes the importance of highly skilled manpower in knowledge-intensive industries for the success of MSME development. We will be utilizing the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) system to provide vocational training and upskilling for informal MSMEs such as mechanics, tailors, leather workers, masons, plumbers, and caterers. Additionally, we aim to establish strong connections between the skilled workforce and the specific knowledge requirements of industries in the state, ensuring a sustainable and mutually beneficial partnership.

Establishment of MSEs Business Clinic/ KADEDA Academy: Incubation Center

The Business Clinic/Incubation Center is a proposed initiative that will address these challenges by providing NMSMEs with the support they need to grow and succeed. The clinic will offer a wide range of services, including business development training, advisory services, access to finance, and networking opportunities.

Small Business Women Empowerment Programme

The Small Business Women Empowerment Programme in Kaduna State is tailored to benefit women across all three senatorial districts. It aims to provide women with essential skills, resources, and opportunities to establish and expand their small enterprises, contributing to economic development and promoting gender parity in the State

Kaduna State Digital Enterprise Platform (KADDEP)

The Kaduna Digital Enterprise Platform (KADDEP) is a tech-driven initiative in Kaduna State, aimed at increasing transparency and efficiency in the implementation of enterprise-focused interventions.

The platform facilitates application submission through online and offline channels, processing and disbursement of funds as well as data management and reporting.
